Junior Graphics Designer
Duties and Responsibilities
The Junior Graphics Designer supports our in-house design team in designing all elements influencing the end-customer's perception of
Olive's brand, including printed and online marketing collateral, Graphical User Interface concepts and the Industrial Design language
of our award-winning line of digital music products.
Responsibilities include
- Work under the guidance of Olive's Chief Brand Architect to conceptualize and execute high-quality designs that will advance Olive's branding objectives
- Design collateral for print advertising campaigns and POS material, including posters, direct mailings and magazine ads.
- Support web design team in design and refinement of Olive's e-commerce website.
- Assist Olive's Industrial design team with defining and creating new design language concepts.
- Research, develop, implement and adhere to best design practices.
Required skills
- Expert proficiency with Adobe's Creative Suite package (preferably Version 4), especially Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
- A deep understanding of fundamental design discipline and principals. Demonstrate a command of typography, color, composition and hierarchy.
- Ability to articulate design concepts and prototypes in a variety of ways, written, visually and verbally. Strong Illustrative abilities.
- Online and print Direct Marketing experience (direct mail, email, banner ads, etc.)
- Familiarity with basic web technologies and Flash design and/or Actionscript is a BIG plus.
- Experience in 3D rendering and illustration a plus.

- Demonstrate extreme attention to detail and organization in all aspects of work
Education & experience
- BA/BS in in graphic arts, communications or related discipline, design/art.
- At least 2 years of professional web design experience.
